Inspired by Gen Z Professionals
Power2Z is a platform being developed to support young professionals in launching your careers and thriving during those crucial first 10 years of your professional journey.
We believe Gen Z’s success is everyone's success. You bring a seriously impressive set of skills to the table, making you uniquely capable of being the heroes and sheroes our dynamic world needs.
As the original digital natives, you're basically fluent in tech and adapt to new tools faster than we can say “update.” You're also driven to make the world a better place and build a solid financial foundation. (And seriously, why should you have to choose between those 2 things?) By many accounts, you're the most educated generation in U.S. history. Plus, you're globally connected and value diverse perspectives.
So, yeah, we Gen Xers and Boomers are counting on you. No pressure. (Well okay, maybe a little pressure.)
Fueled by Your Questions
As executives who’ve been lucky enough to mentor the first wave of Gen Z professionals, we keep hearing the same thing: You want more and better career guidance. You're looking for advice that's clear, straightforward, and genuinely useful in today’s work environment. Think topics like:

Our mission is to create a library of posts, articles, podcasts and resources packed with accessible advice to tackle these questions and more. The Headline
Teri Lawver is an accomplished executive with 30 years of experience navigating the sometimes wild and alway interesting world of global business leadership. She’s been responsible for multi-billion dollar revenue lines and led thousands of employees across 50 countries. Now she’s trading in the corner office for the coach’s hat to help the next generation of leaders accomplish their career goals. Want to know more about Teri’s professional journey? The Early Years: Life Before the Career
Teri was raised in a family where hard work, humility, and humor were core values, and where the life lessons of sports were taught alongside the golden rule. She got her first job at age 14 selling overly-processed foods at the local swim club’s snack shack. Her early life resume also includes stints as a lifeguard, a waitress at a classic Jersey diner, a retail sales associate, and a camp counselor – all of which provided both funding and motivation to pursue a good education.
The first in her family to graduate from college, Teri earned a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from Duke University (Yes…those summers waiting tables really did inspire her to study harder).
Coaching and Mentorship Along the Way
Dedication to coaching and development has been a hallmark of Teri’s career. She has been recognized by NJ Biz among New Jersey’s Top 50 Women in business, and was a Coach of the Year honoree at the Stevie Awards. Teri has been a frequent speaker and panelist on the topics of career development and healthcare strategy, including appearances at the Know Your Value Summit and HLTH 2023. She believes today’s young professionals are capable of far more than they realize. As someone who has benefitted from amazing mentors throughout her career, she believes we all have a responsibility to pay it forward.
Life Outside of Work
In her free time, Teri enjoys hiking, skiing and running (at a pace she describes as ‘scenic’), cheering for her favorite sports teams, and discovering new music to keep her playlists from getting too dusty. She loves hosting pizza parties that bring generations together…because every generation agrees on pizza!
She and her husband are the proud parents to two Gen Z young adults, and one Gen Z rescue dog.
